Seeing these gorgeous, mini crystal geodes we knew they were something special. Geodes are rocks that are plain on the outside but have beautiful crystalline structures inside them. After searching for the most stunning specimens we could find, we hand selected the larger sizes most suitable for hat pins so that each one will be large enough to be seen but small enough to not stand too far out from your hat or coat. We love the mystery of opening a geode, as we never know what’s inside. Each geode is different so every pair of hat pins is unique. We offer the hat pins in singles or as well as a matching pair so that you and a friend can each wear half of the same geode. One of our favorite products, the ultimate in depth, the Glass Geode. Each geode contains a glistening Gilson opal suspended in what seems like nothing. The clear glass surrounding the opal is then covered in Uranium glass for a stunning UV effect and then coated again to leave a rock like texture. After all of the flame work we grind away until we have a crystal clear window to give the overall appearance of a natural geode. These are so clear that often times we catch people trying to reach in and touch the opal. A great conversation piece and perfect for the deck or collection. -
This hand selected Space Compass measures in at 2 1/2" from the bail to the bottom. It features a stunning opal perfectly encased and centered in the medallion. The medallion is surrounded by green dots, each one representing the cardinal and ordinal directions. This is where the name Space Compass originated from. The only colored glass used in this piece is the black and green, the remaining colors are produced by introducing 24k gold and silver to the glass at specific temperatures. This gives a wide range of colors with maximum reflective qualities. This pendant is sure to catch the eye and dazzle onlookers with its depth.
